Can You Air Fry These Cauliflower Wings?

Yes, absolutely we air fry them all the time. I set the temperature to 400F. and let it cook for 10 minutes. Then coat with sauce and place back in for another 5 minutes. However times might need to be adjusted from air fryer to air fryer.

You can definitely fry these instead of baking if you wish. My family and I much more prefer the fried version over the baked version. It does taste better as lot of fried foods then to do. That being said we eat them often so I opt for baking them more often for that reason.

How Do You Cut Cauliflower?

Cauliflower can be a bit intimidating to cut if you have never cut cauliflower before, but it is actually way simpler than it seems. All you have to do is flip the cauliflower florets side down and cut carefully around the stem. If you cut from the stem underside and you cut a few florets at a time. The cauliflower should “disassemble” fairly neatly. Some pieces may be too big and its ok to cut those in half.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium sized cauliflower heads cut into florets

Batter

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Citrus Pepper Sauce

  • 1/4 cup plant based butter softened
  • 2 tbsp olive
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp red chili pepper flakes

Garlic Buffalo Sauce

  • 1/4 plant based butter softened
  • 1/4 cup franks red hot sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper

Instructions
 

  • Pre heat oven at 400F.
  • Mix all batter ingredients into a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk until smooth.
  • Dip the cauliflower florets to coat, allow any excess to drip of and set onto a parchment paper lined baking tray.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, then remove form oven and brush on sauce. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, remove from oven, coat with additional sauce if you wish and enjoy!

Notes

One cauliflower head per sauce.
This recipe with 2 medium sized cauliflower wings will serve 4 people. If you wish to make only one sauce and serve 4, double the sauce you wish to use. If you only wish to serve 1, make one cauliflower head.
