The items you don't need or use are just things, material items that are not adding value to your life because you don't have any use for them. Hanging on to those things create anxiety and stress. Free yourself from unneeded items and get a weight lifted of your shoulders.

Learning to identify your true needs vs. wants while making new purchases will help keep impulse buys at bay. Think before you buy, ask yourself "Do I really need this or do I just want it now?"

QUALITY

When making new purchases opt for high quality items that will last a long time and will keep you from having to repurchase an item over and over due to low quality. This works great for clothes because as a minimalist you don't have a ton of clothes and the clothes you do have are worn more often.
