Can I freeze this?

You can definitely make a big batch of these beans and freeze them for even faster weeknight dinner meals. Cook these up and allow them to cool. Place the beans into a air tight freezer safe container, or containers for easy thawing and serving sizing.

What Ingredients do I need to make this recipe?

Olive oil: you need olive for flavor and added fat.

White Vinegar or Red Wine Vinegar: You can use white vinegar or red wine vinegar to add a bit of acidity to the beans. It helps balance everything and with added flavor.

Red Kidney beans: I am using red kidney beans but you can use whichever canned beans you prefer. I have done this recipe, also using chickpeas, great northern and even black beans and they all turn out great!

Water: You need to add water to the mix in order to get a nice broth going. You can also use vegetable broth in you like instead.

Seasoning: For the seasonings in the recipe we are using, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, and adobo seasoning.

Sofito: The recipe does not call for sofrito but if you want to take it up just another notch, you can add 2 tablespoons of sofrito, while cooking.
