Teriyaki Sauce Cold Ramen
I love ramen noodles. I love teriyaki sauce, and love having an excuse to have to use my chopsticks so this recipe was born due to those needs. The sweetness in this sauce is addicting. This recipe will make enough sauce for a 4-5 servings. You can store this sauce in the fridge or freeze it for later use but either way its delicious. You can put it in a jar or a bowl or even eat it warm if you like.
Ingredients 1 1/2 - 2 cups romaine lettuce 1/4 carrot 1/2 cucumber 1/2 spinach Ramen noodles
Teriyaki Sauce 1 garlic clove (minced) 1/4 tsp ginger powder 5 tbsp brown sugar 1 1/4 cup water 1/4 soy sauce 2 tbsp corn starch 2 tbsp water (for corn starch slurry)
Instructions Start off my chopping up all you veggies. I like to chop my cucumber and carrots in a julienned style cut for this recipe. Once all your veggies are chopped up, set them aside.
In a sauce pan, add all of your sauce ingredients except for the cornstarch and 2 tbsp of water. Mix those all well and heat through on medium heat.
In a small bowl mix the cornstarch and the 2 tbsp of water to make a slurry and whisk that into the rest of the sauce ingredients. Continue whisking to prevent clumping until the sauce has thickened. Let sauce cool. This will make enough sauce to store and make about 4 more ramen recipes.
In a large bowl or large mason jar assemble by placing the sauce at the bottom, followed by carrots, then cucumber, spinach, romaine lettuce, and lastly the cold ramen noodles. YOu can store this recipe in the fridge for up to 3 days. When ready to eat shake up mason jar and all the is left to do is ENJOY!
