Three Dessert Smoothies


    When that dessert craving kicks in and you want to keep it a bit healthier then an actual slice of cake or pie. These smoothies have you covered in the dessert front. I am a huge fan of pina coladas and if I can turn one into a smoothie and drink it often, I am all for it. You can add a shot of rum to the pina colada to sort of spike the punch ::wink, wink:: or drink it as is. The key lime pie smoothie is very refreshing with the lime added and it's perfect for a nice warm day. Last but not least we have a strawberry shortcake smoothie that will stop those cake cravings in their tracks.

    Three Dessert Smoothies

    Pina Colada Smoothie 1 c. coconut Milk (canned) 1 banana (frozen) 1 1/4 frozen Pineapple

    Strawberry Shortcake Pie Smoothie 1 banana (frozen) 1 1/4 c. strawberries (frozen) 1 cup almond milk 2 tsp agave (if your bananas are not really ripe) 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

    Key Lime Pie Smoothie 1 banana (frozen) 1 c. almond milk 1 1/2 tbsp coconut milk canned (use cream layer. DON'T shake can) 1 lime (juice) 1 tsp lime zest

    Instructions Blend all ingredients for each individual smoothie in a blender and all that is left to do now is ENJOY!
