Vegan Pizza Rolls
I have always love pizza rolls. Living in Philly most of my life, one of my fav to go cheap snacks was a pizza roll from the Chinese food store. Growing up eating those, is now wonder why I still crave them on occasion. Which is why I came up with these, yummy things.
Ingredients 16 Round Turnover/Empanada Dough, thawed 1 14oz jar pizza sauce 2 cups non dairy cheese 1 tsp basil Oil for frying
Directions In a large mixing bowl, combine pizza sauce, cheese, and basil. Add about 1/4 of filling into the center of the turnover dough.
Fold bottom corner over filling, fold sides toward center over filling. Moisten remaining corner with water and roll up tightly to seal.
In a large frying pan heat enough oil to cover half way up on the rolls, on medium high heat. Add filled and sealed rolls into the hot frying oil and cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown on each side. Flip halfway through.
Remove from oil and place onto paper towel linen plate. All that is left to do now is ENJOY!
