The Miami Burger


Ingredients

Burger 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 5 tbsp hemp seeds 1/2 bell pepper, any color 1/2 cup cooked rice 1/2 small red onion 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp soy sauce 1/3 cup bread crumbs, plain Salt and pepper to taste

Toppings Avocado slices Potato chip sticks

Other 1/2 large sweet plantain, peeled and sliced on the bias Oil for frying Burger buns




Instructions In a food processor, pulse burger ingredients becoming mixed. Do not over mix or your burger will be too mushy.

Form patties using 1/2 burger mix for each burger. You can make them bigger or smaller if you wish. Put patties aside.

In a frying pan, add in 1/2 inch of oil and heat to medium heat. Add in the sliced plantain and cook until golden brown on each side. About 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from oil and place onto a paper towel lined sheet.

Remove most of the oil from the pan. Leaving only enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Put heat up to high, add in the burger patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until a crispy golden layer has formed on each side. The crispy layer will help keep the burger together.

Assemble burgers with the toppings, including two slices of plantain per burger and ENJOY!
