Jackfruit Chicken Bites
Ingredients Marinade 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp maple syrup 1/4 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/8 tsp ground black pepper 1/8 tsp cumin
Flour mix 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp sazon seasoning 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
Other 1 can young jackfruit in brine 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 cup cornstarch Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions Add all marinade ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine well.
Toss drained jackfruit into mixing bowl with marinade and mix until fully coated.
Allow the jackfruit to marinade for 15-20 minutes.
Add the flour and the rest of the flour mix ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine.
Once jackfruit has finished marinating, begin coating each piece in cornstarch, followed by dipping the jackfruit piece in the almond milk, then into the flour mix. Repeat dipping in the almond milk and back into the flour mix for a second time to coat in flour twice.
Begin to heat up oil for frying on medium high heat.
Once oil is heated through carefully add in the coated jackfruit and allow to cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oil and place onto a paper towel lined plate.
