This vegan crab dip is creamy, bold, and fantastic. It really taste like crab dip and you will love it. This is the perfect dish for hosting because it is a yummy crowd pleaser.

I have always loved all dips of any kind. I would be pressed to recall a dip that I didn’t like. I love artichoke dip, onion dip, cheesy dips, “crab dips”, you name it. If it’s dip I probably like it!

What Is Used In Place Of The Crab

In place of the crab, for this recipe we use palm hearts.

What are palm hearts? Palm heart are literally that, the heart of a specific type of palm tree.

•Nuetral On there own palm hearts are pretty neutral and don’t really have the taste of anything. These go really well in salads with olive oil and a bit of vinegar.

This recipe is incredibly easy to make and you don’t even have to cook it if you don’t want to. The dip is tossed up and then placed in the broiler to make golden and to crisp up the top layer.

How To Make It

Pre heat broiler on high.

In a mixing bowl, mix all ingredients EXCEPT for bread crumbs. Place mixture into a oven safe dish and sprinkle bread crumbs over top.

Broil for 3-4 minutes or until top layer is golden. For extra browning spray top with a bit of cooking oil spray. Serve along you favorite dippables and ENJOY!

  • 1/2 cup non dairy mayo
  • 1/2 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp old bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 1/2 green onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup non dairy cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp bread crumbs
