What Makes This Recipe Taste Like Fish?

Nori Sheets Nori sheets are used in this recipe to make the tofu steak have a fish/ocean taste.

What Are Nori Sheets?

Nori Sheets are what are typically used to make sushi rolls. The sea weed sheets that is dark green and taste like, well the sea. Nori sheets, dulce flakes and other seaweeds are great for making foods taste like seafood.

Here in the US. chips are potato crisps so I was like I must make a sandwich with “actual” chips. I added crushed chips in with the breading mix so the tofu fillet is actually coated in chips The crunch in the chips add great texture to this yummy sandwich.

Can I Make It More Healthy?

Absolutely, everything can be tweaked a bit to be healthier!

Potato Chips I this recipe potato chips are part of the breading for the tofu fillet, but you can simply swap those out and replace it with a bit more of the bread crumbs instead. It is a slight swap but if you want to make it healthier every small thing counts.

Vegan Mayo This recipe includes a spicy sriracha mayo sauce and the base for that is vegan mayo. You can swap out the vegan mayo for plain yogurt, for a healthier option.

Bread Buns For the ultimate health swap, switch out the burger buns for lettuce and turn it into a lettuce wrap!

Enjoy this vegan fish and chips sandwich, anytime of year and adjust anything you like to make it your own. Also, this recipe makes one sandwich so adjust accordingly for more servings.
